Bleeding Edge TV 555: Philips Hue Go review

The Philips Hue Go personal wireless light might be the coolest lighting accessory I've ever used. As you can see in the video, it looks like a cereal bowl that's been filled with light that you can carry around with you. You can turn on the natural dynamic effects feature for a living light color show, or set it to one of 16 million different colors of light with a 300 lumen light output. It's controllable with the Hue Light app for iOS and Android, but also has a button on the back that allows you to cycle through a bunch of different colors without the need for a smartphone or tablet.
The only downside is that you do need to have a Philips Hue Starter Kit or Hue Bridge in order to use it to its full potential, so if you don't already have a Hue system set up, that will set you back an extra $50 or so. Still, it's a great lighting accessory.

I give you a look at one of the best routers on the market in the Linksys WRT1900ac in this episode. This is a fast router that supports 802.11ac speeds, which is up to 4.3x faster than 802.11n wifi. This router has simultaneous dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz antennas, and a dual core CPU that promotes high speed data processing.
The cool thing about the WRT AC1900 is that it is open source-ready. This means you can install packages like DD-WRT and OpenWRT and it will be officially supported. External antennas round this one out, and they can be removed and swapped out for larger, more powerful antennas as well!

The HTC UltraPixel camera is on back, along with a wide-angle front camera. The display is a 5-inch 1080p screen, and the whole thing runs Windows Phone 8.1.

I open up the GoPro HERO4 SIlver camera in this episode of Unboxing Live! The GoPro HERO4 Silver gets the unique distinction of being the first GoPro to ever ship with a built-in display. It's also a touchscreen display, letting you frame shots, adjust settings on the fly, play back videos, etc.
The GoPro HERO4 captures 12MP photos at up to 30fps, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allow you to connect to the camera remotely to control it with a smartphone or remote control.
